FusePump and the IAB launch Data Feed Best Practice Guidelines

FusePump and the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) have launched new guidelines on data feed best practice. There are 4 titles in the series that can be downloaded from the FusePump or IAB Affiliate Marketing website:

  • Why do I need a product feed?
  • Data Feed Best Practice in Travel
  • Data Feed Best Practice In Retail
  • Data Feed Best Practice in Mobile

The first title in the series 'Why do I need a product feed?' sets out the reasons why an e-commerce business may want to consider utilising data feed technology for online marketing.

Using Product Data Feeds to Automate Paid Search Marketing

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is the practice of matching the search terms a consumer uses in, for example, Google to products on e-commerce sites. Often called paid search, or pay per click (PPC) it is a type of online acquisition marketing. For merchants that sell online ‘paid search’ is an extremely important sales tool. SEM is about producing compelling advertising that makes an online consumer click on the link within the advert. The more relevant an advert is to the search terms used, the more likely this is to elicit a click through.
